Are these illegal immigrants in South Africa right in what they say...?

...about black South Africans in the townships that they are too lazy to work and that they are jealous of immigrants as many echo this when interviewed by the press, or is it simply a case where the immigrants are forced to earn a living using their innitiative by desperation to survive?
