No, as long as it is not albino or endangered. It must be kept in a safe place where it can not harm others. There must be a comfortable habitat for the alligator. There are regulations, but most likely no one will come to your house and check to see if your up to code. Use your common sense and make sure no one gets hurt. Oh and another thing, no alligators. That would be a federal offense. All ual alligators must be executed on sight. Get a male and female and make sure it is not alligator. If its an albino alligator you will know right away that it is a ual.
